I had not heard of a facepalm until my first .net development job.  I checked in a change that broke the build and before I even knew what happened the other developers were flooding my desk with facepalms.  It wasn’t long until I got to start dishing them out but let me tell you I checked the build and unit tests a lot more thoroughly before I checked in changes after that.
